Deck the Halls and Light the Candles

Join us for some festive holiday cheer! This service will honor the spirit of Yule while weaving in the lessons of Hanukkah, two winter holidays that feature warmth and brightness against the backdrop of winter’s darkness. "Hanukkah" literally means "dedication,” and remembers the recovery and restoration of a sacred Jewish temple. Reverend Lauren Levwood will reflect on the historical meaning of Hanukkah and explore how we can apply its teachings to our modern time through the lens of our Unitarian Universalist values. One candle at a time, may we work together to rededicate the many sacred temples of our world.
