UUCSV Endowment Fund and Endowment Fund Grants

The Endowment Fund of this church has been in existence for decades, since the 1990s, built with many contributions of various sizes. Having a strong endowment provides financial support for the faith-based community both now and in the future. It builds the vitality of the church and creates strong bonds within the congregation and with the larger community.

Donations are welcome from members, friends, family, and the extended community at any time. Making a donation to the UUCSV Endowment is frequently chosen by members, friends, and family either to honor the memory of a loved one who has passed away or to recognize and honor someone special at any time. The Endowment is also a way for people to leave a legacy; individuals can include the UUCSV Endowment in their wills and estate planning.

Each year the Endowment Fund Committee, depending on market conditions, withdraws a certain amount of money to fund activities that are not part of the annual UUCSV church operating budget. Projects have included community outreach, special music for church services, improvements to the sound system, religious and spiritual education, and many other projects.

You may make a donation here at any time and, if you choose, you may donate, in memory of someone, or to honor someone, or to support the Endowment Fund in general. For more detailed information about the Endowment Fund, click the "Endowment Fund Information" button below.

Endowment Fund Committee Now Accepting Grant Applications for 2026

The Endowment Fund of UUCSV has been in existence since the 1990s, built with many contributions of various sizes.  Each year the Endowment Fund Committee, depending on market conditions, withdraws a certain amount of money to fund activities that are not part of the annual UUCSV church Operating Budget (the church Operating Budget funds the day-to-day expenses of the church) and do not qualify as a Capital Expense (i.e., adding to the church building).

The Endowment Fund Committee has $26, 687 available for Calendar Year 2026 and is accepting grant applications through March 31, 2026, for projects to begin July 1, 2026 and to be completed by December 31, 2026.

Congregational committees and/or members may submit a grant application for a project that reflects the religious and social values of the UUA. Projects could involve education, community outreach, or building improvements not related to capital expenses or to fund a new initiative.  Full details and the application form are available in the Call for Applications for Endowment Fund Grants for 2026
