Jesus’ followers had the breath knocked out of them as they witnessed his brutal death at the hands of religious and political leaders.  They longed for signs of new life and hope.  That’s what Easter is about.  New life and hope.  This week’s message shares stories of encounters between the risen Jesus and the disciples on the first Easter.  Those encounters gave them the hope they needed to continue against a corrupt regime.  May these stories give us hope as current events knock the breath out of us!
