Embracing Abundance: A Berry Communion
Rev. Lauren Spivey Levwood
In celebration of Earth's summer abundance, we’re having a Berry Communion! In Virginia, berry season begins in mid-May and stretches through the summer months until late August or even September. Strawberries are the opening act, followed by blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Inspired by the teachings of Robin Wall Kimmerer and her recent book, "Serviceberry," this Sunday's Berry Communion ritual will invite us to pause and enjoy these sweet treats of the late summer season.
