In her message titled “The Shape of Justice: Making Meaning After Loss,” guest speaker Kim Newton  shares a deeply personal reflection on grief, family, resilience, and the ongoing search for meaning amidst devastating loss. From her childhood dreams of sisterhood to the tragic and complex circumstances surrounding her brother’s death, Kim explores how acts of love, storytelling, and community support can help us shape justice when systems and circumstances fall short. Join us for a moving and thought-provoking service that affirms our shared capacity to create meaning and healing through compassion and courage.

Kim Newton is a teacher, children's book author, and longtime Unitarian Universalist lay-leader. She serves UU Shenandoah as Technology Coordinator.

The congregation's annual town hall meeting will occur after the service.
